The exotic beach of Falassarna

Falassarna beach is a stunning stretch of sand located on the island of Crete. Furthermore is one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, and it’s easy to see why. The clear turquoise waters and soft white sand make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the incredible views. Falassarna is also a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling. In addition there are plenty of beach bars and restaurants nearby, so you can easily find a place to grab a bite or drink. If you’re looking for a breathtaking beach experience, Falassarna is definitely worth a visit!

Falassarna beach is on the northwest coast of Crete, about 45 minutes from the city of Chania. The best way to get there is by car. There is a large parking area near the beach, so you can easily leave your car and walk to the sand. Falassarna is open to the public and there is no entrance fee.

The beach is well-maintained and there are plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent. Also there are several beach bars and restaurants, as well as a few small shops. Above all, Falassarna is a great place to spend a day or two relaxing on the sand and enjoying the incredible views. If you’re looking for a beautiful beach to add to your Greece itinerary, Falassarna should definitely be at the top of your list!

Ancient Falassarna

Ancient Falassarna is one of the most important archaeological sites in Crete. It was an important port city in the Bronze Age and early Iron Age, and home to a number of important buildings and temples. The site is on the west coast of Crete. And is currently under excavation by a team of archaeologists from the University of Crete.
The story of the city of Ancient Falassarna starts in the Bronze Age, around 1600 BCE. Due to its strategic location on the west coast of Crete, quickly becomes an important port city. Also the city has a number of important buildings and temples. One of them is the Temple of Poseidon, which dates back in the early Iron Age. The site was abandoned in the late Iron Age, around 1100 BCE, and has been uninhabited since then.
The archaeological site of Ancient Falassarna is currently under excavation by a team of archaeologists from the University of Crete. They have revealed a number of important artifacts, including a number of statues and inscriptions. The site is open to the public, and is a popular tourist destination.
