Deres Horse Riding Center is a place where they have been welcoming horse riders and nature lovers for over twenty years.
Founder and owner of the Center is Mr. Yiannis Pissadakis, who succedeed in creating a harmonious and eco-friendly environment among scenic hills and green valleys in the outskirts of Chania, few kilometers from the beach resorts of Platanias and Maleme.
Their philosophy
Since the creation of Deres Horse Riding Center, the philosophy is natural horse training. While a foal is far too young to be ridden, it is already able to learn skills at their farm to be prepared for later. Each horse has her/his distinct personality and one of the main goals is to approach each one of them knowing what is uniquely important to her/his personal character. Understanding this basic you can work more balanced, confident and safe.
Their horses live freely in nature, up in the hills of their farm and easily return to the stables to shelter from the elements and before the daily trips start.

At this Center you have the opportunity to experience several outdoor activities suitable for the entire family.
Riding center:
Trail rides suitable to all ages, from complete beginners to experienced riders in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Outdoor activities:
Archery and hiking are available. Try your skills and improve your well-being!
Amenities:
Coffee shop and taverna with traditional Cretan dishes; a relaxing spot with panoramic views over green hills and valleys.
Organic shop:
Organic products from their farm are available at the shop: wine, tzipouro (raki with herbs), olives an organic olive oil.
Cooking lessons:
On request they offer workshops at the Center. They are suitable for the entire family and will give you the opportunity to learn how to prepare some of the most traditional Cretan dishes. The products used during the sections will be freshly picked from their organic farm.
