One of those lands was that of my great-grandfather Manolis Gianakakis. Because of its location far from the rest of the houses and in the trees, the Germans decided to establish their own casino.
Over the years the Germans left and the casino returned to my great- grandfather’s possession. And from his hands this house passed into my grandfather Thodoris Kalomoiris and grandmother Cleopatra Gianakaki. About 15 years ago they decided to rebuild the remaining of the Casino in order to become our cottage where we would spend our Sundays.
Today, we wish to show others the beauty of this house and the warmth it exudes.
The decoration of the house is traditional according to the Cretan ethics and hospitality.
